Before the Auckland Skytower, the pinnacle of Aotearoa's expansive skyline was the New Plymouth Power Station's Chimney Stack, climbing a lofty 198m into the clouds. Now redundant, the chimney remains in place as the only way to remove it would be to push it into the ocean.
