Parrotdog Birdseye Hazy IPA Cans 6x330ml

Our feathered friends see the world differently. Through birds' eyes, things might look almost psychedelic to us, with heightened colours and fresh hues forming a surprising new spectrum. This hazy, citrus and stonefruit accented IPA with a mellow, soft and silky texture gives a similarly refreshing change of perspective.

Parrotdog Bitterbitch IPA Cans 6x330ml

The troublesome original release, named for the problematic first brew day which hugely emphasised its hop bitterness. It's matured and evolved nicely over the years. Parrotdog Raptor APA Cans 6x330ml

The raptor family includes a surprisingly diverse collection of birds of prey and their kin, and stretches to include some of their fiercer ancestors from the land before time. Pale Ale can feel like a similarly broad category, but this one is very much of the more assertive kind. Deep gold with piercing piney bitterness and citrus hop flavours, it's a throwback to the relatively recent past. A Bright deep gold beer with Orange, grapefruit & pine aroma. Taste of Citrus with a balanced malt depth.

Parrotdog Thunderbird Bright IPA Cans 6x330ml

They say its wings bring thunder and its eyes flash lightning, but the thunderbird's intensity is benevolent, its appearance a good omen. This bright IPA borrows its name to give a fresh retelling to a familiar story by keeping things lean, lucid and enlivening. Its dazzling tropical character comes thanks to a hop from North America, where these tales were first told.

It's a pungent brew of Shining Peak Brewing's Skunk Juice base, with extra malt, a lashing of extra sugar and almost triple the hops. Originally brewed for the inaugural Taranaki Beer Festival, this brew is an exercise in extravagance - a decadent example of Taranaki ingenuity.

Shining Peak Brewing German Hill Festbier Lager Can 440ml

Despite the name, 'German Hill' isn't particularly German at all. It earned its title from the blunt local assumption that any European accent must surely be German - when rather it was Inglewood's influx of Polish immigrants settling there in the area in the late 1800s. Close enough, right? Nestled just outside of Inglewood, the volcanic mound originally known as Atoa Iwa had previously served as a perfect kainga for local iwi, giving commanding views of the surrounding land. It also boasted several clean, bubbling springs of water known for its excellent mineral composition. Raise a stein and give a mighty Prost to this beer, brewed with traditional German malt and hops, with inspiration taken from the pure, fresh springs of German Hill.

Shining Peak Brewing Stacks Red IPA Can 440ml

Before the Auckland Skytower, the pinnacle of Aotearoa's expansive skyline was the New Plymouth Power Station's Chimney Stack, climbing a lofty 198m into the clouds. Situated next to Port Taranaki, and just down the road from the condom factory, this whopping structure was completed in 1972 with a continuous pour of concrete and still remains the second highest man-made structure in the country. The chimney was a flue to the power station's thermal energy, relying on Taranaki's abundant supply of natural gas and oil. Now redundant, the chimney remains in place as the only way to remove it would be to push it into the ocean.
